He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Speight and Emma Estelle Land Speight. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Jewell Speight; and his sons, Guy Wayne Speight (Mary) of Bailey and John Foster Speight of Wilson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
