She was predeceased by: her parents, Luke Tedder and Victoria L. Tedder; her husband N. J. Bass, Jr.; and her siblings, Ethel Shepard, Geneva Godwin, Rachel Duke, Geraldine Scott, Verdie Dunn, Vara Matthis, Mildred Murphy and L. C. Tedder, III.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Bass Register (Gene) of Wilson, Bobby Bass (Betty) of Wilson, Russ Bass (Sherry) of Wilson and David Bass (Barbara) of Rocky Mount; her siblings, Mary Jean Scott of Wilson, Sally Hill of Wilson, Marion Tedder (Faye) of Wendell and Carlton Tedder (Romona) of Stantonsburg; and her sister-in-law Joan Tedder. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
