She is survived by: her sons, Jahquan Ellis and Mytavius Ellis; her father Woodrow Simon, Jr. of Hemingway, SC; her nephews, Brandon Barnes of Durham, NC and Micah Sherrod of Wilson, NC; her niece Sade Barnes of Selma, NC; her cousins, Tiera Ellis and Des Taylor; her close friends, Frances Sanders, Mareesha Burnette and Jessica Evans; and her godchildren, Za'nora Cotton and Phillip Cotton. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
