She is survived by: her parents, Shundale Stokes of Wilson and Dexter Ghist (Deborah) of Nashville; her children, Darrius Young, Dashaad Young and Dakari Young; her siblings, MiEsha Drake of Wilson, Khamya Stokes of Wilson, DeAysia Stokes of Wilson, Elisha Middleton of Wilson, Seth Middleton of Atlanta, DeAndre Ghist, Edwin Encarnacion and Alondra Encarnacion; her grandparents, Debbie Stokes of Wilson, William Cooper of Colorado, Delois Brinkley Ghist of Nashville and David D. Ghist, II of Nashville; her niece MiKaylee Lynch; her nephew Dylan White of Wilson; and her close friend Chester Williams of Elm City. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Word Tabernacle Church (821 Word Plaza, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
