It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine Whitley Thigpen of Wilson, North Carolina, who passed away on January 12, 2022, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Larry Glenn Thigpen; her father Jesse Lee Whitley; and her son Larry Gregory Thigpen. She is survived by: her daughter Charlotte Thigpen Bullock (David); her grandchildren, Alex Taylor, Cody Taylor and Alexis Bullock; her mother Dorothy R. Walston; and her brothers, Ricky Whitley (Joni) of Wilmington, Wayne Whitley (Teresa) of Stantonsburg and David Lynn Whitley. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
