He is survived by: his mother Alma Dorothy Pittman Barnes; his daughter Shannon Barnes Bruton (Gray); his grandchildren, Trent and Claire Bruton; his sisters, Joy Watson (Danny), Jan Brinchek (Steve) and Annette Creech (Danny); and his former wife Elaine Richardson. He is also survived by five nieces.
