He was predeceased by: his son Sanford Theodore Bridgers; his parents, Callis Bridgers and Pattie Ruth Pridgen Bridgers; and his siblings, Mary Frances Taylor, Callis Edgar Bridgers and William Jones Bridgers.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Sue Renfrow, John Christman Bridgers (Brenda) and Timothy Wayne Bridgers (Angela); and his sisters, Linda Jean Strickland and Frances Louise Strickland. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren.
