He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Daye Herndon and Joseph Herndon; and his brothers, Jeffrey Allen Herndon, Johnny Herndon and Michael Mamonie.
He is survived by: his daughters, Christy Sutton (Al Sutton) and Jamie Herndon (Lee Thorne); his grandchildren, Tatiana Smith, Brian Ferguson Jr. (Junior) and Christian Sutton; his great grandchild Sevyn Dior Hinnant; and his siblings, Joella and Doug.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Joyner's Funeral Home (4100 Raleigh Rd Pkwy W, Wilson, NC 27896).
