He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Bunn and Esther Thornton Bunn; and his brothers, Hugh, Ray, Richard and Robert Bunn.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Bissette Bunn; his son Chad Bunn (Leslie) of Wilson; his granddaughter Heather Blythe (Jordan); and his brother John Bunn (Kristy) of Nashville.
