She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Dunn and Eunice Dunn. She is survived by: her husband Steve Smith; her children, Terrie Ricks (Bill) of Elm City and Clark Owens (Claire) of Clayton; her siblings, Wilbur Dunn Jr. (Nell) of Fountain and Darlene Beaman (Steve) of Elm City; and her grandchildren, Sarah (Timothy), Ashley (Joshua), Katey (Jon), Ryan, Travis (Randi) and Alex (Taylor). She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or to the charity of one's choice.
