She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry Draughn and Caroline Josephine Whitmore Draughn; her son John Whitmore Nichols; her former spouse Romer Clarence Nichols; and her cousins, Billy Draughn, Bucky Draughn and Frank Davis.
She is survived by: her daughter Wendy Nichols Anderson (Todd) of Wilson; her granddaughter Caroline Thorne Anderson of Wilson; her cousin Bobby Draughn of Isle; and her pet Whitmore "Whit".
