He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy "Lib" Elizabeth Winborne; his parents, James Edward Winborne, Sr. and Romaine Deans Winborne; and his brother Phil Deans Winborne. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Langston (Brent), Lindsey Nanney (Russ), J. E. Winborne, III (Amanda) and Bill Winborne; and his grandchildren, Dalton Langston, Mitchell Langston, Wyatt Langston, Lillie Winborne, Sadie Winborne, Edward Winborne, IV, Hazel Winborne and Boone Nanney.
