It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Edward Saunders of Wilson, North Carolina, who passed away on June 2, 2021, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Kiefer Saunders; his children, Kyle Saunders (Beth) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Trisha Hayes of Wilson and Jennifer Saunders of Wilson; his grandchildren, Caitlin Fitzgerald, Haley Cockrell, Mallory Cockrell, Megan Hayes, Abigail Hayes and Nash Saunders; his great grandchildren, Mia Applegate, David Craig, Serenity Applegate and Emma Cockrell; and his siblings, Mary Sawyer of Wilson and Jimmy Saunders of Wilson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
