It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Bass of Wilson, North Carolina, who passed away on December 22, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Bass and Mattie Lamm Bass; and his nephew Ty Goff. He is survived by: his wife Mary Sutton Bass; his siblings, Jean Goff of Wilson and Hilton Bass (Jo Ann) of Wilson; and his brother-in-law Donnie Sutton (Tina) of Lucama. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 5260 Old Raleigh Rd., Wilson NC 27893.
