She was predeceased by: her husband Jimmy Petty; and her parents, Norwood Ray Whitfield and Gladys Virginia Whitfield. She is survived by: her children, Jamie Lamm (Maria) of South Carolina, Dwayne Lamm (Joyce) of Fremont and Ferrell (William, Jr.) of Rocky Mount; her grandchildren, Megan Lamm Irons, Matthew Lamm, Andrew Lamm, Madison Lamm and William Ferrell, III; her great grandchild Ezra Irons; and her sisters, Sandra W. Mincey of Wilson and Gail Sexton of Wilson.
