He is survived by: his wife Judy Privette Futrell; his son John T. Futrell (Julie Davis) of Wrightsville Beach; his grandson Jackson T. Futrell; and his siblings, Betty Lou Ball of Wilson, Gerald Futrell (Nelda) and Brantley Futrell of Jacksonville.
