He is survived by: his daughter Gaynella Barnes (Glenwood) of Wilson, NC; his grandson Brian Wade; and his siblings, Annie Dew of Elm City, NC, Mattie Simon of Elm City, NC, Betty Brown (Willie) of Elm City, NC, Linda Ward of Wilson, NC, Jessie Johnson (Mary), James Johnson of Wilson, N. C and Walter L. Johnson (Gwen) of Rocky Mount, NC. He is also survived by six great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren.
