He was predeceased by: his wife Janice Coley Joyner; and his parents, William Emerod "Bud" and Mary Elizabeth "Eliza" Joyner. He is survived by: his son-in-law Scott; his children, Rick Joyner of Lucama, Stan Joyner of Olympia Washington, Randy Joyner (Ellen) of Elm City and Renee J. Moore (Scott) of Stantonsburg; his grandchildren, Kim Joyner Coleman (Chan), Chase Joyner (Brittany Stroud), Garrett Joyner, Sarah Moore and Travis Moore (Grayson); his great grandchildren, Keenan Coleman (Halei), Cassie Coleman, Gracie Stroud, Sarah Joyner and Hannah Moore; and his great great grandchild Saint Coleman. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
