He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Burdette; his stepsons, Bobby Etheridge and Scottie Etheridge; his grandson Jason Etheridge; his parents, Ray Burdette and Urshley Burdette; and his sister Patty Bennett.
He is survived by: his stepsons, Dean Etheridge and Skeeter Etheridge (Lea Ann); his grandchildren, Sonya Etheridge, Chad Etheridge, Todd Etheridge, Jody Etheridge, Brittany Reinihard, Haley Etheridge and Kayla Etheridge; and his brothers, Kermit Burdette and Ferrell Burdette. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
