She was predeceased by: her parents, John C. Overman and Maude Overman; and her siblings, Joe, JC, Virginia and Pauline.
She is survived by: her husband David Hester; her children, Phil Hester (Karen) of Garden Grove, California, Susan Hester Peele (Charles) of Asheville, Madeline Hester of Wilson and Melissa Hester of Stantonsburg; her grandchildren, Allen Peele, Jennifer Peele, Chapman Hester, Bert Allbrook, Alice McLaughlin, JD Langley, Brian Woods and Allen Woods; and her great grandchildren, Wyatt, Marin Peele, Elliott, Caroline Pace, Connor Allsbrook, Campbell Soyars, Dalton Scott and Jeb Langley. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
