With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn Payne Roberts of Wilson, North Carolina, who passed away on March 29, 2022 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Edwin "Tom" Roberts; her son Gregory Alan Roberts; and her siblings, James Edward Payne and Betty Jean Payne. She is survived by: her children, Teresa Lynne Roberts of Wilson, Leslie R. Cockrell (Doug) of Garner and William "Bill" Thomas Roberts (Susan) of Mount Holly. She is also survived by six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
