Evelyn Mae Edgerton Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Evelyn Mae Edgerton of Wilson, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 16, 2025 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Evelyn Mae Edgerton to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Marsha Garrett; her son-in-law Heber Aldridge; and her siblings, Lee Watson and Robert Walston. She is survived by: her husband James "Jimmy" Ray Edgerton; her children, Mary Lou Aldridge of Kinston and James "Jay" Edgerton (Diane) of Hendersonville, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Amy Crow (Justin), Beth Seymour (Allen), Jennifer Selph (Derrick), Mellissa Joyner (Raymond), Amanda Edgerton (Mitchell), Faith Edgerton, Matthew Garrett (Cindi-Jean), Heber Aldridge (Jenna) and Christopher Edgerton (Tan); and her son-in-law Robert Garrett. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Joyner's Funeral Home (4100 Raleigh Rd Pkwy W, Wilson, NC 27896). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Maplewood Cemetery (400 College St NE, Wilson, NC 27893).
