She was predeceased by: her husband James Gresham Rountree; her parents, Frank Sawrey and Nona Sawrey; and her brothers, Kenneth Sawrey and G. T. Sawrey.

She is survived by: her son James Rountree (Candice); her grandchildren, Lilah Claire and Charlie Rountree; and her cousin Lois Skinner.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Jane's memory to Bible Missionary Baptist Church, 2833 Tilgham Road, Wilson, North Carolina 27896.
