We bid farewell to Elton C. Smith (Wilson, North Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 8, 2024 at the age of 77. Elton C. touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Elton C. may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Elton C. touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his wife Jane Wade Smiley Smith; his parents, Elton Smith and Mary Smith; and his sister Mary Lee Boyette. He is survived by: his sons, Clee Smith (Lara) and Scott Smith of Greenville; his sisters, Brenda Wood (Marvin) of Wilmington and Cathy Wood (Bobby) of Spring Hope; and his sister-in-law Connie Batts (Dwight) of Chocowinity.
