He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Faye C. Boykin; his daughter Sloane Boykin Brooks (Howard) of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Leslie, Howard and Heath; his sister Vickie B. Foreman of Maryland; and his parents, Stephen Plummer Boykin and Bessie Tedder Boykin of Rock Ridge. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
