Dora Pridgen Joyner Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dora Pridgen Joyner (Wilson, North Carolina), who passed away on March 16, 2023, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, David Earl Morris and William Henry Joyner; her parents, Thomas Walter Pridgen and Lillie Duke Carter Pridgen; her son Richard Earl Morris; and her siblings, William Pridgen (Hazel), Richard Pridgen (Louise), Robin Pridgen, Thomas Pridgen (Agnes), Patsy Finch (Earl) and Fred Pridgen.
She is survived by: her sons, John Stephen Joyner, Sr. (Kathy) of Elm City and Louis Dean Joyner (Gail) of Wilson; her sister Huldah Hart of Elm City; and her sister-in-law Doris Pridgen of Elm City. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
