He is survived by: his wife Linda Williams Thorne; his daughter Donna Sue Thorne Bjur (Paul) of Lucama; his grandson Jaxson Bjur of Lucama; his siblings, Linda Driver (Randall) of Lucama, Brenda Tedder (Thomas) of Sims, Charles Thorne (Judy) of Wilson, Thomas Thorne (Cathy) of Lucama and Tony Thorne of Lucama; and his niece Michelle Mattox (Andy Speer).
