It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deacon Ira Thompson Jr. (Wilson, North Carolina), who passed away on December 28, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Stevens Family Funeral Home (1820 Martin Luther King Jr Pkwy, Durham, NC 27707). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the L. N. Forbes Tabernacle (1800 Bishop L N Forbes St S E, Wilson, NC 27893). A burial was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at the Rest Haven Cemetery.
