With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daniel Shelton Murphy of Wilson, North Carolina, who passed away on January 17, 2023 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Earl and Adele Raper Murphy; his siblings, James Earl Murphy and Pat Holland; and his daughter Shelly Murphy.
He is survived by: his partner Drenda; his children, Jennifer Slate (Chad) of Wilson, Ronnie Davis of Lucama and Charlie Davis of Gloucester; his sister-in-law Bonnie Murphy of Wilson; and his pet Callie. He is also survived by five grandchildren and four great – grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to his favorite charity, St. Jude's Hospital.
