She was predeceased by: her parents, Nellie Matzie Musi and Vincent Peter Musi; and her sisters, Rose Jean Meisinger and Giovina Musi Bradley. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Merle Swartzwelder; her children, Thomas Jude Swartzwelder (Kelly) and Catherine Swartzwelder Pittman; her grandchildren, Madison McGovern (Mike), Macon Swartzwelder (Chad), Benjamin Swartzwelder, John J. Farris III and Mary Catherine Farris; and her sister Josephine Musi Rakow. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Connie's name may be made to Catholic Charities of Raleigh, 3000 Highwoods Blvd #128, Raleigh.
