She was predeceased by: her parents, Garvis Elmer Thompson and Kelly Rackley Thompson Hardison. She is survived by: her sister Gloria Whitehead of Cary; her nephews, John Whitehead and Ross Whitehead of Denver, CO; her close friend Ray Mercer of Wilson; and her aunt Dee Rackley Winkler of Clinton.
