He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ferrell and Dollie Ferrell; his siblings, Evelyn Ferrell, Dorothy Ferrell, Leo Ferrell and Woodrow Ferrell; and his children, Harvey Lynn Ferrell and Elizabeth Ann Morton.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ruth Davis; his children, Charles Ray Ferrell, Jr. of Sims, Stephen Ferrell (Ann) of Newport News, Virginia, Becky Hargis (Greg) of Archer Lodge, Jeannie Guthrie (Tim) of Cedar Point and Brenda England of Newport News, Virginia; and his sisters, Mary Olive Lane of Wilson and Yvonne Roberson of Richmond. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Forest Hills Baptist Church (1407 Forest Hills Rd NW, Wilson, NC 27896). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 3:45 PM at the Evergreen Memorial Park (2800 Nash St N, Wilson, NC 27896).
