He was predeceased by: his parents, Royal Bruce Lewis and Bessie Mae Walston Lewis; and his siblings, Mary Lou Westbrook, Wayne Lewis and Bobby Lewis.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Johnson Lewis; his son Carl H. Lewis, Jr. (Michelle) of Eureka; his grandchildren, Gracie Lewis and Austin Lewis; his sister Jane Bynum of Hillsborough; and his sister-in-law Ann Lewis of Twin City, GA..
A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Eureka Cemetery (146 E Main St, Eureka, NC 27830). Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
