He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Newman Haldeman II and Jane Norton Haldeman of Louisville, Kentucky.; his wife Barbara Olds Haldeman; his children, Walter Newman Haldeman III (Ella) and Anne Haldeman Blackmon (David); his grandchildren, Charles Walter Blackmon, Bruce Haldeman III, Davis Haldeman Blackmon, Aidan Spencer Blackmon and Priscilla Mae Reyes (Joseph); and his great grandchild Alessandra Amelia Reyes.
