He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver G. Rand and Sarah Higdon Rand; his former wife Julia Ann Crater Rand of Raleigh, NC.; and his brothers, Oliver G. Rand, Jr. and Joe H. Rand.
He is survived by: his wife Janet C. Rand; his daughters, Margaret R. Corbett (Fred), Katherine R. Schamay (Don) and Anna R. Bond (Bob); his granddaughters, Ann S. Landis (Michael), Katherine S. Moser (Alex), Julia Schamay and Sarah Schamay; his great grandchildren, Mary Ritchie, Gaberiel Landis and William Landis; and also, Michael C. Betts (Diana), Jennifer A. Fisher (Scott), Gray Betts and Alexander Fisher.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wilson Memorial Service (2811 Fieldstream Dr N, Wilson, NC 27896).
