Betty Ray McCain Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Ray McCain (Wilson, North Carolina), who passed away on November 23, 2022 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, H. T. Ray and Mary Howell Perrett Ray; her husband Dr. John L. McCain; and her brother Dr. Horace T. Ray, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Paul P. McCain III (Beth) of Raleigh, NC and Eloise McCain Hassell (Robby) of Greensboro, NC; her grandchildren, Elizabeth McCain Irwin (John), Dr. Emily M. McCain (Josh Goughnour), John L. McCain II, Mary Howell Hassell and Bayly M. Hassell; and her great grandchildren, Blythe and Henry Irwin. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews.
