She was predeceased by: her father Charles Alex "Buck" Bridgers. She is survived by: her daughter Leigh Elizabeth Cullen (James Stephen Cullen); and her brother Ronald Keith Bridgers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on Betty's behalf to the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Foundation at NC State University.
