She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett Blackshear and Willistine Strickland Blackshear. She is survived by: her husband Joel Patterson; her sister Nancy Davis (Andy) of Wake Forest; her niece Katherine Quinn (Nolan) of Wake Forest; and her mother-in-law Barbara Patterson of Stantonsburg.
