He is survived by: his wife Linda Boddie Alston; his children, Minnie Barnes (Joseph), Belinda Boddie-Dickens, Mary Alston-Edwards (Ryan), Albert Alston Jr. (Geannette) and Ezekiel Charles Alston; and his siblings, Lonnie Alstom (Lucille) of Wilson, Henry Alston of Ashbury Park, Margaret Alston of Ashbury Park and Linda Meeks of Ashbury Park. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
