She was predeceased by: her husband James Gardner. She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Langston and Pamela Harrell (Jerry Hicks); her grandsons, Bryan Rodgers, Christopher Harrell (Becky) and Brandon Harrell (Eliza); her great grandchildren, Braxton Harrell, Mason Harrell, Davis Harrell, Dillon Roberson (Kaley) and Brittany Whealton (Justin); and her siblings, Clara Donahoe (Jim) and Carl Creech (Anna). She is also survived by three great-great-granddaughters.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Joyner's Funeral Home (4100 Raleigh Rd Pkwy W, Wilson, NC 27896). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 12:45 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Maplewood Cemetery (400 College St NE, Wilson, NC 27893).
