It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernell Williams Fipps (Wilmington, North Carolina), born in Columbus, North Carolina, who passed away on March 24, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Percy Williams and Betty Williams; and her siblings, Marvaleen Ross and DJ Williams. She is survived by: her children, Pamela Mason (Mike) and Randy Fipps (Kelly); her grandchildren, Tiffanie Siuta (Dan), Ryan Fipps (Jameson), Taylor Bayless (Ben), Ashley Parrish (Andy), Cody Mason (Haley), Travis Mason (Nicole) and Darien Durnen (Tristyn); her great grandchildren, Dallas, Miller, Charlie, Tucker, Tess, Andie, Mason, Guinavieve and Brock; her siblings, Willa Faye Moore, Donnie Williams (Debbie) and Diane Stafford (Jerry); and her close friend Sandy Watkins. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
