With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thorben Hansen in Wilmington, North Carolina, born in Brooklyn, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 19, 2024 at the age of 94. He was predeceased by: his wife Eileen S. Hansen. He is survived by: his daughters, Barbara Hansen and Lori Nolan; his son-in-law Jim Nolan; and his grandchildren, Michael Nolan (Cristin), Katie Nolan Saas (Matt), Landon, Callie Nolan and Madison Saas.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice in memory of Toby and Eileen Hansen, who both received outstanding end of life care from the home hospice staff.
