It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ted G. Burgess of Wilmington, North Carolina, who passed away on December 30, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleona Huneycutt and Drewey Nathan Burgess; his sisters, Blanche Helms and Robenia Tucker; and his son-in-law Kevin Christopher O'Donovan.

He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Ann Hayes Burgess; his daughter Dana Burgess O'Donovan; and his granddaughter Katharine Hayes O'Donovan.
