With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stephen Eugene Shear of Wilmington, North Carolina, who passed away on November 7, 2024 at the age of 78. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Stephen Eugene Shear to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Debi; his parents, Stephen and Dora; his stepfather Joseph Tripp; his wife Patricia; his children, Stephanie Shear (Bo) and Kris Shear; his grandchildren, Stephen (Holly), Nicholas (Kayleen), Christopher (Sammie), Justin and Tripp; and his great grandchildren, Ellee, Harper and Shepard.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ralph (Eleanor), John (Mary), Cliff (Patty), Kenny (Bonnie), Carl (Mary), Nelson (Carol), Kathy (Richard) and Faith. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Lifepoint Church (3600 College Rd, Wilmington, NC 28412).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lower Cape Fear Life Center or St. Jude's Children Hospital in Steve's memory.
