It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sophie Rabon (Wilmington, North Carolina), born in Brunswick, North Carolina, who passed away on December 12, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Russell Johnson and Clara Taylor Johnson; her husband Thomas Edward Rabon Jr.; her daughters, Caroline "Ann" Rabon Eller (RJ) and Beverly "Lynne" Rabon Case Walker (Al Case); and her siblings, Sarah Kopp (Russell Johnson), Katherine Liggett, Alice Warner, Rebekah Burriss, Mattie Robinson (Mary Whitaker) and Jackson Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Edward Rabon (Donna) of Gastonia and Sandra Rabon Allen (Eddie) of Creston, NC.; and her grandchildren, Randy Eller (Jennifer), Rebekah Dawn Eller-Dozier (Guy), Jeremy Eller (Holly), Emily Hanzely, Mark Case (Da), Shannon Wynne (Adam) and Jessica Johns (Jon Wall). She is also survived by great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
