She was predeceased by: her parents, Leamon Elree Sikes and Goldia Batson Sikes; her husband James W. Goodwin, Sr.; her son James W. Goodwin, Jr. (Jay); and her sisters, Linda Hunt and Vivian Hawkins.
She is survived by: her daughter Vickie Shondel; and her grandchildren, Stephen Hobbs, April Shondel and Aryon Shondel. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
