We are sad to announce that on June 24, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Ruby Jean Whitman of Wilmington, North Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Ruby Aline Evans and Eugene Leamon Bowen; her siblings, Joyce Collins, Carolyn Bowen, Senie Blume and James Leamon Bowen; and her children, Victoria Joanne Whitman, Kenneth Ray Whitman and Carla Jo Whitman Stephens.

She is survived by : her husband Howard Whitman; her son Scott D. [Jen] Whitman; her brother Gaither [Shelia] Deitz; her grandchildren, Jason Whitman, Amanda Mills, Ashley Stephens, Alex Whitman, Gabriel, Kira and Azriella Whitman; and her great grandchildren, Cameron, Cooper, Cohen Whitman, Kirsten, Johnathen and Branden Mills. She is also survived by cousins, friends, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Andrews Valley Chapel (4108 College Rd, Wilmington, NC 28412).
