He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean Flory and Robert W. Herndon; and his son Scott Herndon. He is survived by: his wife Janie; and his children, Nicholas Herndon, Becky Meek, Natalie Stephens, Seth Bayliffe, Holly Bayliffe and Kimberly Feaster. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren.
