He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Edward Griggs and Pearl May Davidson Griggs; and his wife Betty Griggs. He is survived by: his children, Steven Griggs of California, Jeri Owens of Wilmington, NC. and Larry Brooks (Charlene) of Wilmington, NC.; his sister Dorothy of California; and his grandson Brandon Owens. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as numerous family members.
