He was predeceased by: his parents, William Herbert Slack, Sr. and Louise Marks Slack. He is survived by: his wife Maclyn McKeown Slack of Wilmington, NC; his brother Bill Slack (Judy) of Leland, NC; his sons, Mark Slack (Pam) of Columbus, OH, Chris Slack (Lindsey) of Atlanta, GA and Scott Slack of Los Angeles, CA.; and his grandsons, Simon, Henry, Samuel, Isaac and George.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dick's memory may be made to one of three special institutions in his life: The Shepherd Center in Atlanta, GA, St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wilmington, NC: Ascension Lutheran Church in Danville, VA.
